Well, hip hip hooray! The TSA is finally doing something to make family travel a little easier — they’re offering a BOGO-style discount on PreCheck enrollment. Sure, this would’ve been a dream before the chaos of summer travel, but hey, we’ll take it.
As part of its new Families on the Fly initiative, TSA is working to make airports less stressful for families, even testing out dedicated family lanes at select locations (finally!). And now, they’re sweetening the deal with some real savings.
Here’s how it works:
Now through October 31, 2025, when one person enrolls in TSA PreCheck through IDEMIA (the official provider), they get $15 off the enrollment of a second family member or friend. Just make sure you both sign up through IDEMIA to get the discount.
Even better? The deal stacks. So, if you’re a family of four, you can save up to $30 total. That may not sound like a huge windfall, but considering that TSA PreCheck costs around $75 for five years, it adds up. And let’s be real — $15 is at least two airport coffees… or one latte in LA.
So if you’ve been putting off signing up, now’s the time. Less time in security lines, more time grabbing overpriced snacks and wrangling kids through terminals. Win-win!
