Sunset + Opera + Central Park = A Perfect NYC Night

Sunset + Opera + Central Park = A Perfect NYC Night

Want to end September on a high note? 🎶 Opera Italiana Is in the Air is back in Central Park on Wednesday, September 24th — and it’s totally FREE.

From 5:30–7:00 PM at the Naumburg Bandshell, you can catch world-class opera under the trees and skyline. Think: soprano Leah Hawkins, tenor Murat Karahan, and an orchestra packed with talent from Juilliard, the MET, and the NY Philharmonic.

And here’s the coolest part: the night includes the world premiere of a brand-new piece by 17-year-old prodigy Luke Soneral, Juilliard Pre-College student and winner of Opera Italiana’s national composition competition.

Expect familiar favorites from Verdi, Puccini, Rossini, and more — plus that once-in-a-lifetime debut moment.

Opera Italiana’s mission is simple: take opera out of the concert hall and bring it back to the people. And honestly, what better place than Central Park at sunset? 🌅
